Tottenham Hale

Tottenham Hale is part of Haringey's council in Greater London having the following postcodes assigned: N15 and N17 (N15 belonging to Seven Sisters as well). 

 

Official figures from Haringey council show Tottenham Hale as the fourth poorest district in the council with a population of 13,339 inhabitants in 2010 with a significant part of the population coming from different ethnic minorities. 

It is also noteworthy that 29% of the population is under 20 years while only 8.4% are over 65 years. 

 

Moreover, the birth rate in Tottenham Hale is quite high (23.3 per 1000 in 2010), leading to super-saturation consequences for social services. 

 

 

Geographically, Tottenham Hale is located between the busy High Road (that heads south directly to the financial center of the capital) and is surrounded by the Walthamstow Reservoirs. These reservoirs owned by  "Thames Water", provide drinking water to the city and are at the same time an important ecological green spot in the city with a variety of over 300 species plants and a large number of animals.
